The Port Adelaide Football Club and Thunderbirds are to establish an even closer relationship.
The Power, in its second year of a three-year deal as major sponsor of the Thunderbirds, will work with the State's leading female sports team to increase its presence in the community.
Power chief executive Mark Haysman said the financial link betwenn the two high profile clubs in the first year had been a success.
Now the club was seeking to build momentum to "maximise its investment".
"In the first year of the sponsorship we got to understand each other's business better," Haysman said.
"Now we need to do as much as we can to maximise the investment."
"We want to get into schools and the community more. It was a very successfull first year. Fifty per cent of our supporter base is female and there are a lot of women who play netball in this state.
"The Thunderbirds team and brand is highly regarded and to have a connection with them as well as work together in the community is terrific."
Haysman said the Thunderbirds' involvement in a trans Tasman competition was appealing, providing an opportunity to take the Power brand outside the 'core market'.
"It is a chance to broaden the appeal of our club," he said. "The success of the Thunderbirds and their appeal is something we can draw off."
